Member Services
Consumer Outreach
AgriMissouri™ staff is always working to build the AgriMissouri brand and showcase members to the public. The AgriMissouri Buyer’s Guide online is a large part of the consumer outreach. The Buyer’s Guide search page averages over 750 hits per month. The hits to the Buyer’s Guide are both consumers and retailers looking for products for their stores.
Promotion across the state is again the plan for 2008. The year will kick-off with AgriMissouri products being featured on the main stage at the St. Louis Food & Wine Experience and the Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture.
Winter offers members the opportunity to network and attend many workshops and conferences. The Missouri Farmers’ Market Association, Missouri Department of Agriculture and AgriMissouri will host Market to Market Workshops across the state for farmers’ markets. Additional conferences are the Midwest Grape and Wine Conference, Great Plains Vegetable Conference, Missouri Small Fruit and Vegetable Growers Conference, Missouri Farmers’ Market Association Annual Meeting and Missouri Organic Association Annual Meeting.
Spring and summer will bring additional promotional opportunities. The AgriMissouri Market will again be featured at the Missouri State Fair. This event provides members the opportunity to sample and sell their products throughout the fair. The Missouri Grocers Association Convention and Trade Show continues to be popular among members. This show offers the opportunity to reach Missouri’s independent grocers all in one location.
Right now the details are still being worked out on several activities including the Missouri School of Journalism’s Celebration and the Tour of Missouri. Keep watching the web site for details on these activities.
Bar Code Assistance Program
The Missouri Department of Agriculture is happy to announce that we are now providing assistance in obtaining bar code for AgriMissouri™ members. Providing AgriMissouri™ members and Missouri entrepreneurs the opportunity to obtain a bar code will open up more doors for Missouri-made products.
If you are interested in learning more about the AgriMissouri™ Bar Code Assistance program, please contact Sarah Gehring at 573-522-9213 or Sarah.Gehring@mda.mo.gov.

Missouri Grocers Association Trade Show
Hope everyone is getting excited for the Missouri Grocers Association Trade Show. Packets have been mailed, so if you haven’t received your information and want to participate, please contact AgriMissouri.

The dates this year are July 31st through August 3rd. The deadline for registration is June 16th. Many AgriMissouri companies took advantage of this opportunity in previous years and feel that it is a worthwhile event. The Show provides an opportunity to meet with Missouri’s independent grocers from across the state.

It will be held at the Lodge of Four Seasons, in beautiful Lake Ozark. Kelley Taylor is working with AgriMissouri on this show. Kelley is the Brand Manager for the Missouri Certified Beef Program at the Department of Agriculture. Her phone number is 573-522-1802 or you can contact her via email.

AgriMissouri Market at State Fair

It’s show time at the State Fair! So it is time to start preparing for the AgriMissouri Market at the
Missouri State Fair, August 7-17. This small retail store is composed entirely of AgriMissouri members’ products.

All AgriMissouri products in the Market are taken on a consignment basis. AgriMissouri pays vendors their wholesale price for all sold products and returns any unsold products after the fair. Sampling is one way to generate more product sales. Each day, the Market features three AgriMissouri members sampling their products to fairgoers. Sampling days are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We ask that you reserve your day or days by July 15.

Contact Sarah at 573-522-9213 or Sarah.Gehring@mda.mo.gov with questions or to reserve a sampling day.
Tour of Missouri - Bike Race
